8 Frequently asked questions about Mood Lighting

Can we add mood lighting to our DJ booking

Yes of course, you can include as many mood lights as you wish, depending on the venue we tend to find between 4 for a smallish venue and 12 for a larger venue.

What does mood lighting do?
Mood lighting changes the ambience of your wedding venue creating a very different look and feel from the daytime to the evening party.
How are the mood lights powered?
We have both mains powered and battery powered mood lights, we would provide the lighting most suitable for your venue. Battery powered units last around 6 hours though lighter colours such as blush pink would reduce th battery life to 4 hours and so we would often use mains powered mood lighting for those colours.
Can I choose the colour of the lights?

Of course! We often match the lighting to your bridal colour scheme but of course you can choose any colour you wish. The lighting is what is know as RGBW+UV these means we can mix the colours to create almost any colour and shade you like.

Are they hot if children touch them?

The lighting is LED and therefore get warm but not hot therefore there is no risk to children of burning fingers. We do ask that guest do not pick them up or move them though.

Can uplighters be put outdoors?

Or standard mood lighting is for indoor use only, however we do have slightly different units for outdoor use, do get in touch for more information.

What is all this about PLI and PAT Certificates and what are they

Most if not all venues will require suppliers for your wedding to provide them with a copy of a current Public Liability Insurance (PLI) policy and a certificate of Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) these two documents ensure we are fully insured and that the equipment we are using has been tested and conforms to currently safety requirements.
